I've actually heard a lot about the DARIAH-PL project, especially since some of my friends are in tech and humanities in Poland. It's pretty wild because when you think of research stuff, you usually think it's just for academics, right? But DARIAH-PL is actually helping businesses too. Like, companies that deal with culture, language, or arts can use this infrastructure to store and use huge amounts of cultural data. That stuff would be impossible to handle on your own!
In my experience, local startups love having access to tools and data that only big institutions used to get. This means even a small company or freelance artist could work with European partners or crazy new tech, since the DARIAH-PL project connects a bunch of places all over Europe. It’s also cool that the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) is involved—they’re all about international projects and giving people solid IT support. So yeah, I think DARIAH-PL is making it way easier for Polish businesses in culture or tech to punch above their weight. If anyone wants to start a business in those fields, this kind of support is huge.
