To be honest, spending £30 million on Liam Delap is sort of a gamble for Chelsea. Like, yeah, he scored 12 goals for Ipswich, but that's just one season and Ipswich got relegated. I remember times when young strikers had one good season, then struggled with the pressure at a big club. Delap's young and talented, but he's never played for a team like Chelsea where every goal counts and the fans have huge expectations. I've seen players flop under that kind of stress before. At the same time, Chelsea needs someone to compete with Nicolas Jackson, so maybe it's worth the risk. But for that much money, I'd want someone who's proved they can do it for more than one year, not just a flash in the pan. So yeah, it could totally work out, but it could also go the other way and people are gonna be like, "Why did we spend 30 million on this guy?" Only time will tell, honestly.
