Honestly, it would be a huge deal if Atiku Abubakar could lead a new party and actually win in 2027, but I'm not sure it's that easy. First off, there's a ton of drama in the opposition about which party to even use. Some want to just pick an existing one like the ADC, but others think a brand-new party — the ADA — would give everyone a fresh start and avoid all the usual drama over who controls what.
I've seen in Nigerian politics that forming a new party sounds exciting but it's like trying to start a football team from scratch and hoping you'll beat the pros in your first match. The strong parties like APC and PDP already have loads of money, connections, and people in every small village. New parties struggle just getting their name out there, let alone fighting big dogs like Tinubu's crew. But with Atiku being such a huge name and getting other big figures to join him, it could get really interesting fast.
If Nigerians are tired of the old faces and really want change, maybe Atiku and his new party actually have a shot. It would take a crazy amount of teamwork, no internal beefs, and a lot of trust from voters. I’d say it's a long shot but not impossible if they don't mess up and actually deliver what people want.
