Yeah, I really think the Charter and Cox Communications merger could make prices go up, honestly. Everyone keeps saying that when companies get bigger, they can save money and pass that on to customers. But from what I've seen, when two giant cable companies merge, there's just less competition. That means they can basically set higher prices because there aren't as many choices left.

I remember a couple years ago when two phone companies merged in my area, and suddenly my bill went up and the customer service got way worse. If Charter and Cox become this mega cable company, I think they might just raise prices or add more fees because they can get away with it. People always talk about streaming being the future, but a ton of folks still rely on these companies for internet and cable.

I've read that this merger is supposed to help them compete with streaming, but if they actually cared about us, they'd just offer better deals. So yeah, my gut says get ready for higher bills, not lower! I really hope they prove me wrong.
