Honestly, I was wondering the same thing before I listened. I’ve been a fan of Kizz Daniel for a while, so I had high expectations for Lemon Chase. After playing it a few times, I gotta say, it’s actually pretty solid! The songs are catchy and I feel like you can tell he’s worked on showing more sides of his style. Tracks like “Titi” with FOLA have that feel-good Afrobeats vibe, and I even caught my little brother humming the hook the other day, which never happens.

I don’t think people are just hyping Lemon Chase because it’s Kizz Daniel. He really did bring the fun this time, and the songs just feel fresh. The EP also kind of reminds me why I started listening to him in the first place. So, if you like Afrobeats or just need some good music for your playlist, it’s totally worth checking out, in my opinion. Give it a go and see if it’s your vibe too!
