Honestly, I totally get why people are having doubts about Milos Kerkez being Liverpool's miracle solution at left-back. Everyone acted like nobody could replace Andy Robertson, but in the last couple seasons, he hasn't really played at the same level, and Tsimikas wasn't a big upgrade either. I've seen Kerkez have some really bright moments at Bournemouth, especially with attacking runs and even scoring a few goals, which is super rare for a left-back. But yeah, a £40 million fee is no joke, and people are right to ask if he really fits in at a club like Liverpool with insane expectations.
From what I've seen and what all the transfer experts are saying, Liverpool actually wanted Kerkez the most for this role, so it's not like he was their fifth option. That says something. I have to admit, after watching him in some games, he looks confident and has way more experience than most 21-year-olds. But jumping from Bournemouth to Liverpool will be nuts in terms of pressure. Some transfers like this work out great, and others just don't. So, yeah, a bit of the hype is deserved, but I think fans should chill and not expect magic from day one. Give the dude a proper shot!
