Honestly, it's hard to say for sure if the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is being completely fair or not. People have been buzzing about how Tompolo, a well-known figure, got involved in this whole "naira abuse" thing. The video showed him at a party where money was being sprayed around, which is technically illegal in Nigeria.
In the past, the EFCC has gone after others for similar stuff. So, folks are wondering if they might be going easy on Tompolo because of who he is. There's a lot of chatter online, with some people daring the EFCC to prove they aren't playing favorites.
On the flip side, some argue Tompolo himself didn't spray the money or tell anyone else to do it. There's even a claim that he was just dancing around, not throwing the cash. This whole situation is pretty divided. But from what I've seen, if the EFCC wants to maintain its credibility, it'd probably be a good idea to handle Tompolo's case like they have with others before.
Whether it's fair or not, people are definitely talking, and the EFCC's next move might say a lot about how seriously they take their role.
