Honestly, I keep hearing that Tom Cruise might actually be calling it quits after Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning, and honestly, that's wild to even think about. After playing Ethan Hunt for, like, 29 years and eight movies, I guess even the most hardcore super spy gets tired. I mean, if I had to hang off planes and jump off cliffs as much as he does, I'd probably want a break too.

But knowing Tom Cruise, he's always been obsessed with making the craziest action scenes, so maybe it's just him wanting to do something different before he gets too old. Some people say it's just a rumor though and he'll probably come back for another one if he misses the adrenaline. My uncle swears Cruise will get bored and return in a few years because, like, what else beats being Ethan Hunt? So personally, I wouldn't be shocked if they left it open just in case. This might be the end for now, but with Hollywood, you can never say never. If he actually does leave, it's gonna be a huge deal for fans like me who grew up watching these movies. Totally legendary.
