I’ve always thought it’s kinda unfair how AEDC charges everyone the full price for electricity even when Abuja gets hit with these annoying outages. Like, why should people pay top money for a service they’re not even getting all the time? I get it, running electricity stuff costs money, but if my lights are out for half a day or more, I’d expect my bill to show that.

My uncle always complains about his monthly bill because some months he barely had power at his shop, but the bill was still crazy high. It feels like getting scammed, honestly. I think AEDC should only bill people for the electricity they actually used, and if there’re a ton of outages, they should lower the charges or give some kind of refund.

Most people I know are just annoyed and feel like no one is listening to them. In my opinion, until AEDC fixes how they bill during power outages, people are just gonna keep getting more angry and maybe even refuse to pay sometimes. It just doesn’t seem fair at all.
