Honestly, everyone always hypes up the ACCA qualification like it's your ticket to an amazing accounting career, but no one really talks about the rough patches. I've got a couple of friends who went through it, and they all said the same thing: it's a ton of pressure, especially with the strict rules on minimum qualifications and the crazy detailed application process. Like, you actually can get booted just for not filling out every single field online. Also, the study schedule is brutal. During year-end close times, like August to October, people pull insane overtime, and you miss out on a social life. Not to mention, even after getting your ACCA, it doesn't mean you instantly land a dream job. There’s so much competition, and some places act like ACCA is just a given and want even more qualifications on top. So, honestly, before you jump in, know it's not just the golden ticket everyone says it is. I think it’s worth it if you’re determined, but be ready to have basically zero free time for a while.
