If Ivan Perisic actually decides to stay put at PSV, it could shake things up for both him and the club. From what I’ve seen, Perisic brought a ton of experience and leadership to PSV when he joined. Having someone like him stick around would be a big boost for the younger players, because they can learn from a guy who’s played at the highest levels. Also, PSV would have a creative winger to help them in the next Champions League push.

Of course, there’s another side. Some fans might think maybe PSV is playing it too safe by keeping an older star instead of investing in new talent. And for Perisic himself, I figure it’s like a choice between trying to finish his career at a bigger club in Spain or taking on a sort of mentor role at PSV. Personally, I would love if he stayed, just because he seems to fit in with the team and the fans like him. But I get wanting one last adventure in La Liga too, so it’s a tough call.
