From what I've caught in the new Superman trailer, there’s finally a real look at Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. And wow, he looks way different from the Jesse Eisenberg version, which in my opinion is good news. He seems a lot more serious and less goofy—like someone who could actually give Superman a hard time. But what's weird is, even though he gets some screen time, he doesn't look like the main threat in this one.
Instead, all talk is around this Hammer of Boravia dude, which, if you ask me, is kind of stealing Luthor's thunder. I kinda think Lex is being set up as the mastermind pulling strings behind the scenes though. Maybe he's teaming up with the Hammer or using him to wreck Superman’s good guy image. That would totally fit what Luthor always does, right? So, while people are hyped about a new villain, I think Lex is waiting for his big moment in the movie. I actually like this slower build because it keeps everyone guessing. I’m excited to see how he actually fits in. You don't want the same old "Lex is the bad guy" thing every time.
