From what I’ve seen and heard, it’s been kinda wild in Rivers State lately. Right after Siminalayi Fubara got suspended, his supporters seemed really bummed out and not as hyped as before. Some even said they felt let down because he didn’t fight to get back his seat. On the other side, his opponents—mainly those backing Nyesom Wike—started making more noise, even calling for Fubara to just resign. At town hall meetings, both sides have straight up argued and even insulted each other, which got really heated. I saw clips online where people were yelling and had to be calmed down by organizers. I think the craziest part is how split everyone is, even regular folks at school are picking sides. Basically, both supporters and haters of Fubara are super emotional and sometimes even clash in public, making the whole situation more stressful for everyone living here. Nobody seems happy, and it just makes our state’s politics look even messier, to be honest.
