So honestly, Arnold Ekpe isn’t gonna have it super easy moving to Dangote Sugar, even with all the business badges he’s got. I remember when my dad took a new job at a company in a totally different industry – no matter how smart you are, you’re always figuring things out on the fly.

For Arnold, the biggest challenge might be going from banking to sugar. Banks deal with money, rules, and fast market swings, but sugar companies have to deal with things like farming, production delays, and global prices for raw stuff. He’ll probably need some time to wrap his head around the day-to-day problems sugar businesses face—like weather messing up crops or new trade rules impacting sugar sales.

Plus, replacing someone as huge as Aliko Dangote could be stressful in itself. People will be expecting results fast, but changing up leadership always comes with surprises. Still, Ekpe’s handled messy situations before, so I kinda think he’ll figure it out. But it’s not just a copy-paste job from banking to sugar for sure.
