From everything I've read and seen, Rory seemed way more chill at Quail Hollow after winning the Grand Slam. He said himself that he felt like a weight had lifted off his shoulders. I know when I hit a huge milestone in school or sports, it’s like my brain resets and suddenly stuff that used to freak me out just doesn’t matter anymore.
Rory didn't seem obsessed with what everyone else was doing, like chasing Bryson DeChambeau or sizing up his group. He just focused on his own game and hung out with Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele. I think that put him in a better headspace. It felt like he wasn’t playing to prove himself—he was there to do what he loves, now without all the pressure of "missing" something in his career. That probably lets him play his best, honestly. That new attitude could end up helping him stick around at the top for longer!
