So the biggest shocker for the anime awards in 2025 had to be Dandadan. Seriously, almost no one thought it was gonna sweep some of the big categories, but here we are. I was watching with my friends, and we were all betting on some of the usual heavy-hitters like Jujutsu Kaisen or Attack on Titan, but suddenly Dandadan's name kept coming up. People online were freaking out, too. Some loved it; others thought it was just a trend thing and didn't deserve to win so much.

In my experience, when a show that’s kinda new or doesn’t have the massive fandom suddenly wins a bunch of awards, everyone on anime Twitter loses their minds.
