So lately, I've heard a lot about companies eyeing Croatia, and it totally makes sense to me. For one, the cost of living isn't as wild as in places like London or Frankfurt, so companies can save a ton of money by setting up there. And honestly, who wouldn't rather work somewhere with amazing beaches and cool old cities instead of another gray-skied city?

I've also read that since Croatia is in the EU, it’s easier for businesses to do business with other European countries, which is a big plus. Tech companies especially seem to love expanding there because you can find good talent, but salaries aren't through the roof yet. Plus, with the rise in remote work, more companies can just send people to cool places like Zagreb or Split without worrying about crazy relocation costs.

I remember a startup founder in my old school club saying he'd rather take his chances in a "growing country with potential" than fight with the big dogs in already crowded places. Makes sense, right?
