I've been following what happened with Aliyu Audu, and honestly, his resignation is making a lot of people talk. From what I've seen, Audu didn't just step down out of nowhere; he felt like sticking around in the government was going against his conscience. He was upset about politicians jumping ship to the APC, the ruling party, because he thought it was turning Nigeria into a one-party state. In his letter, he straight up said he couldn't support stuff that would mess with democracy, and he was especially not cool with this alliance between President Tinubu and Nyesom Wike.
Audu said this wasn't about switching sides or being rebellious. For him, it was more about standing up for his values, even if it meant walking away from a high-profile job. I get where he's coming from, honestly. If I felt like something I was a part of was going against everything I believed in, I'd have a hard time sticking around too. I definitely respect anyone willing to stand up for what they think is right, especially in politics where that's super rare.
If you want to know more, you should keep an eye on the news, because the government hasn't even announced who's replacing him yet. Wild stuff!
