Yeah, so Amazon pulling the plug on The Wheel of Time after three seasons is kind of a shock but also not? From everything I've read and just talking to people online, the main reasons seem to be money and dropping viewers. The show cost a ton because there were lots of special effects and big set pieces and a huge cast, but the streaming numbers in the US took a dip, especially for the third season. Even if fans loved the new season, it just didn't grab a big enough audience to keep spending that much cash. I think a lot of people liked it, but, man, fantasy shows are super expensive and unless they're mega-hits like Game of Thrones or The Witcher, streamers just don't want to risk it. Honestly, in my opinion, the early reviews from season one probably hurt it, because people decided not to bother later on. It's kind of sad because the story is awesome and there aren't many fantasy shows that get to really finish the full story. I hope someone else picks it up! But right now, it's canceled because of money stuff and not enough people watching.
