Honestly, the whole Brian Burkheiser leaving I Prevail thing kinda blew my mind. From what I've found, Brian's had some pretty intense health problems lately, especially with something called Eagle Syndrome. That's a rare thing with bones in your neck pressing on nerves and arteries and it sounds painful. He was already missing out on tours because of it, so I guess it just got to a point where he couldn't do it anymore.

I Prevail said the split was on good terms, which is good, but fans are split. I mean, his voice was a huge part of what made their older songs like "Hurricane" and "Breaking Down" so catchy. The band is keeping it going with Eric Vanlerberghe and Dylan Bowman taking over vocals, but it's definitely gonna sound different. Part of me wonders if we'll ever hear Brian's side of the story. For now, I'm just hoping he takes care of himself and maybe surprises us with something new down the line.
