Honestly, I thought the Real Betis vs Chelsea game would be way closer, but it ended up 4-1 for Chelsea and that totally shocked me. From what I watched and read after, the first half was kind of what you'd expect with Betis taking the lead and looking sharp. Everyone figured it might actually be Betis' moment. But then it was like Chelsea flipped a switch, for real. Once Cole Palmer started playing like the guy they paid forty million pounds for, and their coach brought on Reece James, Betis just couldn’t keep up. The Chelsea midfield started bossing the game, and their subs just ran all over Betis.
Talking to my friends, we all agree Betis kind of froze once Chelsea equalized. Maybe it was nerves, maybe Chelsea just had too much energy. Even the Betis players looked tired after chasing sides like Atlético in LaLiga recently. It sucks if you were rooting for Betis, but Chelsea just found another gear at exactly the right time and exposed Betis' weak defense, especially after Sabaly got hurt. I kinda wish it was closer but sometimes you just watch a team click and destroy the other, and that's what happened here. Crazy how football goes sometimes!
