I seriously believe that by the time week 47 rolls around, it's way less about just gambling and way more about the whole experience. My family never wins—like, ever—but we still get together to check results, argue about scores, and make a game out of guessing. It turns into this mini party, with snacks and fake rivalries. Plus, the hype about postponed games and panel picks makes it extra suspenseful. For a lot of people, it's just pure entertainment. There's also this tradition thing, like everyone wants to be part of the conversation about what went down and who got lucky. Even my grandma wants in on it. So, honestly, for our crowd, week 47 is like the Super Bowl of football pools: it's less about walking away rich and more about having a blast.
