Honestly, I don't get why so many people brush off tvet like it's a second choice. From what I've seen, tvet actually gets you skills that employers want right now, not just five years down the line after you rack up a mountain of student debt. A friend of mine joined a technical college and was hired as an auto tech before I even finished my first year of college. He makes more than most of my friends working retail jobs, and he's not even in a ton of debt!

TVET stands for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, and it's not just for people who can't 'make it' in college. It's for anyone who wants real experience and a job that pays well. There’s stuff like associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificate programs that can get you working faster than a regular four-year degree. Places like Blackhawk Technical College actually hold financial aid workshops to help people get started, so it's clear they want everyone to succeed, not just people with straight A's.

Honestly, if someone says tvet is just a backup, they're missing out. In my opinion, picking tvet can show you're smart enough to see there's more than one path to a good future.
