Honestly, the Undertaker is just one of those names everyone knows, even if they don't watch wrestling every week. I think a big part of his popularity is the way he's kept that spooky, mysterious character for like 30 years, and no one else really does that.
He started way back in 1990, and basically became this unbeatable force, especially at WrestleMania where he won 21 matches in a row. People love legends, and the Undertaker basically became a legend while still wrestling. When I was a kid, I remember everyone pretending to do his creepy sit-up move after lying down. And that gong sound? Gives me chills even now.
Plus, he always did new crazy matches like Hell in a Cell and the Casket match, and that kept things interesting. I saw on WWE LFG he just won another kind of title, the LFG Champion thing, which is wild for someone who's been doing this for that long. It's like, he never really goes away, and that's why people can't stop talking about him. If you've been around WWE at all, you just have to respect the Undertaker and what he’s done, honestly.
