Honestly, it feels like everyone in Rivers State is either on team Siminalayi Fubara or team Nyesom Wike, and it's wild how heated things get. From what I've seen, the drama is more than just politics—it's about who gets credit, power, and respect. Wike was like Fubara's political godfather, so people expected them to stick together, but things broke down. When Fubara became Governor and started asserting himself, some folks thought he owed everything to Wike, while others felt he deserved to lead in his own way.
What makes it messier is groups like the Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) stepping up and claiming they made Fubara who he is. Then you've got public fights, meetings breaking up, and each side accusing the other of making things worse. Even big politicians like President Tinubu have to step in just to calm things down! Honestly, it's a classic family drama but with more yelling and protest signs. People just want to be heard, and until someone actually sits everyone down and makes them talk it out, I don't see the tension going away. Politics can be so personal, especially around here!
