Honestly, I've noticed Twitch always has those cookie popups and stuff about personal data, and it can be kinda sketchy. The main reason they ask for all that info is because they wanna personalize your experience, and more importantly, show you ads you might actually care about. Since Twitch is owned by Amazon, they share info with other Amazon services too. Like, if you watch a lot of music streams, you'll probably start seeing way more music-related ads everywhere—not just on Twitch.
In my experience, you can go to their settings and say no to some of this tracking, but it’s never as private as you’d hope. Most free sites use your data to keep the service running since ads are how they make money. Twitch tells you in their cookie and privacy notices who gets your info, and you kinda have to decide if you're cool with that or not. I always make sure to check what data I’m sharing, but let's be real—it's tough to avoid these days.
