I've always wondered the same thing, especially since there are so many people from India who travel all over the world. From what I've read, the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP) lets citizens of 41 countries visit for up to 90 days without getting a visa, but India isn't on that list. People usually think it's because of things like security concerns, how passport control is handled, or worries about people overstaying their visit.

If you're an Indian citizen, this means you have to go through the regular visa process, which is kind of a pain. I remember my cousin applying and having to do all that paperwork, go to an interview, and wait for weeks just to hear back. It can honestly feel unfair, especially when smaller countries have easier access. Some people say it's also about politics and how trustworthy the government is seen by the US in sharing info about travelers. Bottom line: it's frustrating for Indian tourists and businesspeople. I just wish they'd make it easier, because I've seen how families have to plan months ahead just to take a simple vacation. But for now, Indians have to stick to the old-school visa route.
