Honestly, Canada's immigration system is definitely making things harder for international students who want jobs here now. From what I've seen, the new 2025 policies are dropping the number of international students and temporary workers that Canada will let in each year. They're saying it's because housing and everything is getting too expensive since too many people are coming in at once.

It kind of makes sense, but it sucks if you're a student planning to stay. Before, everyone thought studying in Canada was the best way to get a job and maybe become a permanent resident, but the government wants to cut temporary residents to just 5% of the population by 2026. Even for jobs, they're really favoring people already living here with work experience. And if you want to get PR, you basically have to show you've already worked in Canada, especially if you speak French or work in jobs like healthcare or trades.

In my opinion, it's just a way for them to control who stays, but it makes it way more stressful, especially for international students who were hoping for more open doors. If I was making plans to study in Canada just to get a job, I'd double check these new rules and think twice now because it's way more competitive.
