I've noticed a lot of my friends and even my older siblings totally stress out over their utme jamb result. Honestly, I get it because it feels like your whole future depends on that one score, especially in Nigeria where getting into uni is so competitive. Like, if you don't meet the cut-off for your dream course, it feels like all your hard work is wasted, right?
What nobody really tells you is that so many people end up changing course or even school after seeing their result. For example, last year, only about 21% scored above 200, so most people didn't get their first choice, but they still found other solid options.
I've found that being too obsessed over your jamb result just makes you miserable for nothing. There are legit paths even if you don't get the score you want. I've seen people switch schools, pick up new courses they didn't even consider before, and still end up happy. So yeah, it's a big deal, but it's not the end of your story if you don't crush it. Just keep your head up and look for other chances that come your way. You got this.
