I watched Journalism's run at the Preakness 2025 live and honestly, it was just wild. What made it really special was the way the horse battled down the stretch—he didn’t just sprint ahead from the start, he had to fight for every inch, especially in the last part of the race at Pimlico. Larry Collmus, the race caller, was super animated and you could hear in his voice that it was intense. It’s those races where it's neck-and-neck in the final stretch that just stick in your head.

I feel like a lot of people expected Journalism to maybe do well because of the Kentucky Derby performance, but coming back after getting second there and taking this win is just so cool. It proves a horse can bounce back and handle big pressure moments. Plus, Pimlico’s short track makes the finish even crazier because horses can come from behind or fade real quick. In my opinion, that’s what got everyone talking—Journalism didn’t give up and had serious determination. It was just a hyped-up finish and people love that kind of drama.
