Oh, I totally get where you're coming from because I always thought once the lyrics were out, it'd get easier for Lil Durk too. The judge actually agreed that the rap lyrics couldn’t be used against him since they were written before the whole thing with Quando Rondo went down. I think what’s wild is that even after all that, he's still in jail because the prosecutors say they have other reasons to hold him. They’re focusing hard on what they claim Lil Durk actually did (like planning the hit and stuff), not what he rapped about. They’re using interviews and those witness threats they say happened instead. So the case is all about his actions, not his songs now. It’s crazy how in hip-hop they always try to use your own words to lock you up, but this time it’s stuff outside the music. I feel for him because it sounds like he’s stuck unless something big changes before his trial in October. Hope he gets treated fair, you know?
