Honestly, I used to stress about this too! My friends and I would all send happy new month messages for a while, but then one month I forgot—and nothing really happened. No one got mad or asked me about it. But I know some people do expect those messages, especially if they always send them to you first.
I've found that it kind of depends on your group. If it’s a big deal in your friend circle, like if you have friends who post new month blessings or quotes every time, they might notice if you don’t participate. But if your group is pretty chill, they really won’t care. Just sending random messages or checking in at different times can mean just as much, if not more. If you care about someone and show it through other ways, happy new month messages aren’t, like, required. Do what feels right for you, and don't feel forced to send stuff just because everyone else is doing it.
