Honestly, I think this is going to be rough for a lot of small businesses in Abuja. I've seen how just one day without water can mess things up, but two whole weeks? That's a big deal. Imagine running a restaurant, car wash, laundry, or even a little food stand and you can't get clean water. Some of my friends who have small shops are already worried about losing customers because people might just avoid their business if there's no clean water or if stuff isn't properly washed.

I remember last year when there was a shorter shutdown, and my aunt’s salon had to close early almost every day. They lost money and some customers didn't even come back after.

A lot of businesses might have to buy water from private vendors, and honestly, those guys usually use the chance to hike their prices like crazy. That cuts into profits a lot. Some people might even have to shut down for the whole period just to avoid all the stress. So yeah, if the water board sticks to their timeline, everyone will just have to grind through it, but not everyone's business will survive this without a big dent in their pocket.
