Oh, Carrie Underwood being a judge on american idol this year was kind of a big deal! I watched a bunch of episodes and felt like she brought a total fresh vibe compared to Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Since she actually won the show years ago, her advice felt way more real instead of just generic feedback. She was super into helping the contestants, especially when they were nervous or doubting themselves before performances.

One thing that stood out for me was how Carrie would tell stories from back when she was a contestant, like stuff about how crazy it was living in the Idol house, or how weird media days were. That made it seem like she totally understood what the Top 5 were going through. Also, I noticed she wasn’t afraid to be a little more straightforward when telling them if their performances weren’t good enough for the finale.

Overall, I think she pushed people to be themselves more, instead of just singing flashy notes. For me, Carrie made the judging panel a lot more fun and less predictable. It was awesome to see somebody who actually lived the contestant experience give real advice instead of just cheesy applause.
