This is kinda wild, but I've actually thought that maybe crazy high diesel fuel prices could help the planet a bit. Like, my uncle has this delivery van, and he told me he's actually been cutting out unnecessary trips just to save money. That means less diesel burned, right?

In a way, when fuel is really expensive, people naturally drive less, which is good for reducing pollution. A bunch of news sites say more folks are making choices like leaving their car at home, and some are even considering walking or biking for short trips. It’s not the best way for the environment to win, but I guess it’s a side effect?

But honestly, it kinda sucks that it comes down to money forcing people’s hand. Not everyone can just stop driving or get a cleaner car. My family still needs to use our diesel van sometimes, even if it hurts our wallet. But yeah, in my opinion, high diesel prices can accidentally help with emissions a bit, just ‘cause people cut back where they can.
