For sure, Journalism's win at the Preakness 2025 is shaking things up around the Triple Crown. I remember watching this horse come in second at the Derby and thinking, alright, maybe they’ve got a shot but it's not a lock or anything. Then the Preakness happened, and Journalism fought super hard to win (the commentator, Larry Collmus, even said it was a tough battle). Now everyone’s buzzing about whether Journalism could actually finish off the Triple Crown at Belmont.
In my experience, people love a comeback story so the hype is just going to keep growing. But honestly, just because a horse wins one or two legs, it doesn't guarantee the Triple Crown. The Belmont is longer and it can totally throw off a horse that isn’t built for distance. Still, I think Journalism is the new favorite for a lot of fans right now. The win at Preakness proved the horse can handle pressure and actually finish strong.
I'd bet the energy is wild if you’re following online—it’s just cool to see when the favorite isn’t the Derby winner but a horse that battled back, you know? I’m rooting for Journalism to finish the sweep. Horses that can pull this off honestly deserve all the hype.
