Could the tentative FAMU calendar for 2025-2026 change later and mess up students who try to plan jobs or internships around it in advance?

Yeah, honestly, with FAMU’s academic calendar being called 'tentative' for the 2025-2026 year, there’s always a chance stuff could change. I’ve seen it happen before where the school updates something last minute, like moving a registration deadline or changing when classes actually start. If you already lined up a job or an internship using the first schedule, that can totally mess up your plans.

My friend lined up a summer job assuming move-in day was gonna be the usual week, but then FAMU pushed it up a couple days last year, and he had to finish work early which his boss didn’t love. If you’re depending on those dates to make money or do anything important, I’d keep checking the FAMU website for updates and maybe don’t lock in travel or jobs until the final schedule is up.

It’s kinda annoying, but most colleges do that. FAMU just seems to do it in a way that really matters for students with jobs and internships. If you’re making plans months ahead, just always have a backup plan—and check those dates every month just to be safe.
