Okay, so real talk: it always felt like Napoli were the favorites against Cagliari, but I kinda thought there might be a twist cause football can be wild. But from what I watched and read, Cagliari was ranked way lower—I think like 14th place—while Napoli was totally leading the league. You could see the difference right from the start. Napoli's attack was super sharp, and right after McTominay scored that wild scissor kick, you could just feel Cagliari shrinking.
Cagliari did have moments where they tried pressing, but they didn't seem dangerous enough to actually score, let alone win. Honestly, the only way they could've pulled off an upset is if Napoli completely messed up, like missing chances or getting a red card. But Napoli kept their cool, and even Lukaku got in on the action, putting the game away. It’s tough for underdogs against a team that confident!
So, to me, it was always pretty clear Napoli would come out on top, but hey, that's football—everyone watches hoping for an upset! Still, Cagliari just didn't have enough to change how things went.
