Haha, so the whole thing with Rasmus Hojlund wearing a fitness tracker in Chelsea vs Man United was kind of hilarious. I saw all the jokes online about him "counting his steps" during the match! Honestly, I don’t think the tracker messed up his game or anything. The ref made him take it off and Hojlund just laughed about it, so it didn’t get in his head or anything. It’s not like he got distracted or started checking his stats during the match (can you imagine?).
If anything, it probably gave everyone a bit of a laugh in what was actually a pretty tense game. I think the worst that happened is people will remember it as a funny moment, not some dumb mistake that cost United the game. Stuff like that is rare in pro games but I mean, who hasn’t forgotten they’ve got some gadget or watch on before PE or sports? The real problem for United was not finishing their chances, not some tech on Hojlund’s wrist. So nah, I don’t think the tracker mattered at all. Just made for good memes!
