Totally! There were times when I felt like I was just sending eid mubarak wishes because everyone else was doing it, not because I actually wanted to. Especially in big group chats, sometimes you feel like, Okay, if I don’t send a wish, will people think I forgot or I don’t care?

I once sent wishes to people I barely speak to, just so no one would get mad or feel left out. It can get pretty fake when it’s more about following a trend than actually caring. But at the same time, I guess it’s kinda like school—sometimes you do things just because that’s what everyone is doing. I try to make it more real by adding a simple note or a real photo instead of mass forwarding. It feels less awkward that way. If you’re sending eid mubarak wishes, it’s way better to make it even a little bit personal. That’s what people remember.
