I 100% get why you're asking. Private universities in Nigeria are way more chill about JAMB scores—like, some will take you if you just get 150 or even 140 depending on the course. I remember my neighbor had a super low JAMB but got into Bells University with no stress.
But here's the thing you gotta think about: private unis are expensive. Like, their school fees are sometimes triple what public ones charge. If your family can afford it and you care more about getting in quick and having smaller classes, I'd say go for it. The classrooms are actually nicer, and there's less wahala trying to register for courses. But if paying those fees means your family will struggle, I'd honestly put in more effort prepping for next year's JAMB or try some state or federal universities with low cut-off marks.
I've seen people graduate from private unis and be really happy, but I've also seen folks transfer out because the money just became too much. So yeah, they do accept low scores, but make sure you're ready for those bills!
