Honestly, I’m kinda skeptical, but I want to hope it can help. Bawa’s book is like a huge warning sign for everyone—policymakers, business people, and even regular Nigerians. He doesn’t just tell us all the sketchy stuff that happened, but he also talks about what needs to change, like more transparency and better oversight.

From my experience reading about anti-corruption efforts, people usually ignore reports unless it’s super public and personal like this. Bawa’s got real credibility, especially since he led the EFCC and investigated these scams himself. That makes people listen!

The biggest challenge, though, is whether the government actually does anything. The book gives the evidence, but politicians and oil bigwigs have a lot of power. If people actually read this and it puts more pressure on leaders, maybe it leads to real reforms. I’d say it’s a bold move and might not change everything overnight, but it definitely raises the stakes and gets people talking. I think it’s at least a step in the right direction!
