Honestly, I think some people will 100% miss Donald Sutherland, just because he was iconic as President Snow. I remember watching the originals with my family and everyone hated Snow, which means Sutherland did his job really well. The guy just looked and acted evil in a super chilling way.

But, bringing in ralph fiennes might actually help, since he’s amazing at these super complex villain roles. I get why they picked him because he can bring something different. Since the movie is set way before the old ones, it makes sense Snow would feel different too. Still, every fandom has those die-hard fans who won’t ever let go of the original, so you’ll hear people say "Sutherland was better!" for sure.

For me, I’m open to seeing what fiennes does, and I’m hoping he’ll make us totally forget about comparing the two, because that’s when you know an actor killed it. At the end of the day, it’ll be fun to see how fans react after the movie comes out.
