Honestly, I freaked out about this too because both my grandma and I use artificial tears. The best way I've found is to grab your box or bottle and look for the lot number and brand name. The recall was mostly from products shipped between May 2023 and April 2024, so check the dates too. The most common ones are from AvKARE and manufactured by BRS Analytical Service, but there could be others.

Usually, the lot number, expiration date, and brand are printed on the packaging or the bottle itself. I just Googled the recall and went to the FDA's website, where there’s a big list of all the affected products and their codes. You can also call the number listed by AvKARE if you’re unsure, and they’ll help you figure it out. It’s better to spend a few minutes checking now than to risk using a product that could mess up your eyes.

If you find your stuff is recalled, just stop using it, clean any surfaces it touched, and follow the instructions for a refund or disposal. I did, and I honestly feel way better knowing for sure.
