I think it comes down to mentality and finally getting the little things right. Tottenham fans have joked forever about being cursed or bottling it, but watching this final, they looked so calm. That Brennan Johnson goal was messy, for sure, but it counted. What stood out to me was how hard their defenders worked and how the whole team defended as a unit, especially when United started pushing after halftime. Postecoglou, their manager, deserves a lot of credit because he's been telling everyone that it's about changing the whole culture of the club. They defended like their lives depended on it, and you could really see how desperate they were to win something. Weirdly, it was almost like Manchester United had the pressure, even though Spurs are usually the ones people expect to choke. With that trophy, I feel like Tottenham players and fans won't fear finals so much anymore, and getting into the Champions League makes it all even better. If Spurs can keep this together, I wouldn't be shocked if they win another trophy soon.
