I've noticed fans in both Myanmar and Pakistan get way more pumped for these matches than you might expect, especially when it comes to something like the AFC qualifiers. Even though their teams might not be famous for winning, just seeing them go head-to-head on a bigger stage kind of lights a fire. I remember scrolling Reddit and there were tons of comments from people in both countries hyping up their national teams or just hoping for a break from their usual losing streaks.
In my experience, when the match is happening, people post memes, cheer like crazy, and honestly, just enjoy the drama. There's a lot of pride involved, because for many fans, it's not just about football—it's about their country finally being in the spotlight. Wins or even draws get celebrated hard, and every goal is a big moment. Even friends who don't usually care about football end up watching and arguing about who's gonna win Myanmar vs Pakistan. So yeah, it's a big deal, and for a day or two, everyone is actually hopeful and invested!
