From what I've seen, Jake Tapper is pretty famous for not really taking sides, but of course, almost nobody is totally neutral, especially in politics. Tapper has called out both Democrats and Republicans, and you see people saying he's tough but fair. He gets praised for asking the questions that everyone is thinking but maybe too scared to say out loud.

Still, if you check out Twitter after his interviews, some people definitely call him biased, depending on which side they're on. Like, if he grills a Republican, Democrats are happy, but if he pushes a Democrat, the tables turn. It's kinda impossible in politics to make everyone happy, but Tapper still manages to have both sides coming to his show, which says a lot. I think politicians respect that he's not just reading questions off a card—he challenges them. As a viewer, I feel like I actually get more info out of Tapper than those other hosts who just let guests ramble. That's what makes him stick out.
