Okay, so Scarlett Johansson just made history as the woman who’s hosted Saturday Night Live the most times! She’s done it seven times now (2006, 2007, 2010, 2015, 2017, 2019, and just now in 2025). That Season 50 finale was what pushed her past Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore, who each did it six times. People make a big deal out of this because hosting SNL a bunch of times isn’t just about being famous—it means the SNL team actually wants you back ‘cause you’re really good and fun to work with. I thought it was cool to see fans joking online about her being the SNL “queen.” Nobody’s touching Alec Baldwin though, who’s racked up 17 times as a host (that’s wild to me). If you care about TV moments and milestones, this is one of those times where you’re kind of seeing history happen live. I feel like now every future female host will be comparing themselves to Scarlett Johansson! It’s a flex for sure and I love seeing her break records like that.
