If you ever gotta reach out to an academic staff union of universities in Texas, the main one is the Texas State Employees Union (TSEU). I called them once when my mom's university job was having some issues. You can actually call their regional offices depending on where you are: Austin is 512-448-4225, Houston is 713-661-9030, Dallas-Fort Worth is 214-942-4305, and San Antonio is 210-354-2900. If you're like me and have no idea what region you belong to, just call any number and they'll point you the right way. Emailing works too: [email protected]. They answered pretty fast when I sent a question for my mom. If your agency or university has specific organizers, they might even have a caucus or website page to help you find the right person. So yeah, don't stress—just reach out with a call or email, and they're actually helpful.
