To be honest, I just tried looking into this because my friend kept asking if I could help him buy Pi Coin. The only places you can really get Pi Coin are a few big centralized exchanges, like OKX, Bitget, Gate, and Pionex. You can't use those decentralized exchanges like Uniswap for Pi Coin, because the Pi blockchain isn't built to work with them yet.

And about risk? It's kind of a gamble right now, just being real. There's still not a ton of official info, and Pi Coin’s value isn’t established like Bitcoin or Ether. I’ve read that you have to do all this KYC stuff and trade it against USDT, and there are scammers all over unofficial channels like Telegram. I’d never trust those. Plus, the price of Pi is way lower on these exchanges compared to what some fans are claiming it should be. If you’re going to try buying some, stick to the real exchanges and only use money you’re okay losing in case things go sideways. That’s what I told my friend, at least.
